The 2013 Pioneer Reunion Parade is less than two months away. Those wishing to participate can register float ideas with Sherri Halsell by calling (940) 538-5042.
The Parade Committee has selected “Let’s Sing Along with Children’s Songs” as the parade theme for the 82nd annual Pioneer Reunion and Rodeo. Suggested floats ideas are listed below, however, float builders can come up with their own. Deadline to enter a float is noon Friday, Sept. 13. Pioneer Reunion is set for Sept. 19, 20 and 21.
Possible themes include Alouette; The Alphabet Song; Baa, Baa Black Sheep; Bingo; Brahm’s Lullaby; Farmer in the Dell; Frosty the Snowman; Here Comes Santa Claus; He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands; Hey Diddle, Diddle; Home on the Range; I’m a Little Teapot; If You’re Happy and You Know It; It’s a Small World; Itsy, Bitsy Spider; Jesus Loves Me; Little Bo Peep; London Bridge; Patty Cake Patty Cake; Peter Cottontail; Pocahontas; Ring Around the Rosie; Row, Row, Row Your Boat; Rudolf, the Red Nosed Reindeer; She’ll be Coming Around the Mountain; Three Blind Mice; The Good Ship Lollypop; Turkey in the Straw; You Are My Sunshine; Zippity Do Dah.
