Kolton Beeler of the Henrietta FFA was recognized as a Texas FFA Star finalist and winner of the Area IV Star Chapter Member in Production. All Texas FFA Star award area winners were recognized at the 85th annual Texas FFA State Convention held July 8-12 in Dallas.

Star Awards are given at each degree level in four categories: Placement, Production, Agribusiness and Agriscience.

FFA Stars are chosen based on the most outstanding Supervised Agriculture Experience Program within their respective degree and category. Winners maintain a comprehensive record keeping system to help justify and explain their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) project.

Beeler is an incoming junior at Henrietta High School for the 2013-14 school year and is the son of Kelly and Glenda Beeler. His SAEs while enrolled in Agriscience the past two years has included breeding goats, market goats, a breeding heifer, livestock judging, community service events and various leadership teams.
