A camper shell and pickup lay in the front yard of a Dean residence after a one-vehicle rollover Monday afternoon.
Two New Mexico residents escaped injury in a one-vehicle rollover accident in Dean Monday afternoon.
Austin Sage, 45, and Sharman Stevenson, 16, both of Hobbs, N.M., were traveling west on Hwy. 79 in a 2008 Ford half-ton pickup when the vehicle veered off the road. The pickup, driven by Sage, struck a culvert, causing it to go airborne. The pickup landed in the front yard of a residence and rolling onto the passenger’s side.
Sage and Stevenson were on their way home after working in Arkansas.
According to a DPS Trooper on scene, the driver did not know why the truck veered from the road. The accident occurred at 4:55 p.m. on a straight section of Hwy. 79 between Tammen and Trout Roads.
