Don A. Hogan of Henrietta


Don A. Hogan, 65, of Henrietta passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 2 at the Davis funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta with Rev. Robert Slaton, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bellevue, officiating, and Rev. Ricky Kerr, pastor of the Missionary Baptist Church of St. Jo, assisting. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Henrietta, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Hogan was born Dec. 29, 1947 in Dumas to Lawrence D. and Ruth L. (Holloway) Hogan. He married Linda Dickey on July 29, 1966 in Mobeetie, and served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Hogan retired from the Texas Department Highways and Public Transportation as a maintenance supervisor and worked for the Henrietta Independent School District. He was a member of the North Side Missionary Baptist Church of Nocona.

Mr. Hogan is preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Ray Hogan; and one sister, Kitty Ruth Hogan.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Hogan of Henrietta; one daughter, Jana Gill and husband James of Henrietta; two sons, Larry Hogan and his wife Janissa of Henrietta, and Steve Hogan of Wichita Falls; one brother, Kenneth Hogan of Henrietta; two sisters, Charlotte Foran and husband Richard of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mary Rhoades of Bowie; and seven grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to the North Side Missionary Baptist Church of Nocona.
