Warren Joe Minton, 88, of Henrietta, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2 at the Davis funeral Home chapel in Henrietta with Rev. Randy Osborn, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Henrietta, officiating. A Masonic-Military graveside service will be held in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Minton was born on Oct. 14, 1924 in Olney to Joseph and Mary (Vaught) Minton. He retired from E.W. Moran Drilling Company and was a member of the Grace Temple Baptist Church of Henrietta. He married Gean Whitley on Aug. 2, 1947 in Sweetwater. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Minton was a Master Mason with the Grand Lodge of Texas and a member of the Scottish Rite.

He is preceded in death by his wife Gean; and two brothers, Cecil Minton and Paul Minton.

Survivors include one daughter, Marsha Hagemann of Henrietta; one brother, John Minton; Two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
