Henrietta Volunteer Fire Fighters were called to a vehicle fire on Hwy. 148, approximately two miles north of Henrietta on Wednesday, June 19. When they arrived, they found a flat-bed pickup completely engulfed in flames and no driver.

The blaze was reported at approximately 10:15 a.m., and started in the cab of the late model one-ton Dodge. It is believed the vehicle could have broken down, and caught fire after the driver had left to get help.

The vehicle is not registered locally. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office would not release additional information to The Pioneer Sentinel without an open records request, which has been submitted. The CCSO has 10 business days to fulfill the request.
