Two Clay County 4-H members have earned assistance in continuing their education through major livestock show scholarship programs.
Stefanie Wolf of Byers has won an $18,000 scholarship from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Wolf, a 2013 graduate of Henrietta High School, will attend Texas Tech University.
Bradley Groves of Petrolia earned a $20,000 scholarship from the San Antonio Livestock Exposition. Groves is a 2013 graduate of Petrolia High School and will attend Midwestern State University.
More than 65,000 Texas youth are members of 4-H community clubs. The program, part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, prepares youth to meet the challenges of childhood, adolescence and adulthood through educational experiences in leadership, citizenship and life skills.
