With the senior class of 2013 ready to receive their high school diplomas, Clay County schools are gearing up for the annual Pomp and Circumstance. Baccalaureate services are scheduled for Sunday, May 26. Graduation ceremonies will be held Friday, May 31, Saturday, June 1.
Baccalaureate at Bellevue will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Bellevue School Auditorium. Dan Conatser, pastor of the Vashti and Bellevue Methodist Church, will give the message.
Michelle Cassetty will play the processional and recessional. Invocation will be given by Kody Coonfield. Special music will be provided by Clint Edmondson, followed by a scripture reading from Katie Specht. Tyler Terry will give the benediction.
Graduation is set for Friday, May 31, at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. The speaker will be Michael Qualls, math teacher at Bellevue High School.
Eighth grade promotion will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30. The speaker will be Colby Broussard, coach and math teacher at BISD.
Baccalaureate service at Henrietta High School will begin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Tyra Roper Auditorium. Rev. Senior class member C.D. Crumpton will be the speaker. A reception hosted by the Henrietta Ministerial Alliance will follow the service, where senior scrapbooks will be on display.
To begin the service, Ethan Cantrell will give the welcome, and Brittany Taylor will give the invocation. Special music will be provided by Jill Corley, followed by the senior video presented by Kristen Duncan. Philip Davis will give the benediction and Chris Davis will lead the pledge of allegiance. Juniors Anni Scholl and Cassie Pickett will serve as attendants.
Graduation will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Memorial Auditorium in Wichita Falls.
Baccalaureate service for Midway ISD will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Joy Baptist Church.
Graduation will be at 7 p.m. Friday, May 31, in Midway’s John Guice Gymnasium.
Petrolia High School held baccalaureate services Sunday, May 19. Graduation ceremonies will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 1, in the high school auditorium.
