Charley Bigbie of Bellevue


Charley Ray Bigbie, 81, of Bellevue, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in Henrietta.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 11 at the Cowboy Church in Henrietta with Rev. Larry Miller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Bellevue Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Bigbie was born on April 30, 1932 in Spanish Fort to Clarence Robert and Mamie Christeen (Lee) Bigbie. He married Wanda LaVerne Lindsay on Oct. 25, 1952 in Nocona. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Bigbie was a D.C. Carpenter and served as Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace for 16 years. He was a member of the Bellevue Baptist Church and attended Henrietta Cowboy Church.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Wanda Bigbie of Bellevue; a son, Marvin Bigbie and wife Michelle of Bellevue; a daughter, Sandra Shaw and husband Jimmy of Wichita Falls; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, May 10 from 7-8 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta.
