Fourteen Clay County 4-H members participated in the District 3 4-H Photography Show this year. The results were presented during the District 3 4-H Roundup and Share the Fun contests in Vernon on Wednesday, May 1.
Participants accumulated points per photo and were awarded a blue card for points between 100 and 71, a red card for 70 to 31 points, and a white card for 30-0 points. After competing in the County Photography Show held in January all first place junior and intermediate winners were eligible for the district contest and seniors winners were eligible for the state contest, which will be announced during State 4-H Roundup in June.
In the junior division, Ashley Riddle earned a blue in the Animals and Wildlife category, a red in Animals-Domestic and a red in Digital Darkroom; Robby Story earned a blue in the Catch All category and a red in Nature and Landscape; Megan Adams earned a blue in Dominant Color and a red in Elements of Design; Katie Yurcho earned a red in Night Photography; Layten Graham earned a blue in People and a red in the Theme category; Madeline Catron earned a red in Plant and Flora; and Bodee Franke earned a blue in Story Board.
In the intermediate division, Kaylee Adams earned a blue in Animals-Domestic and a white in the Theme category; Addie Duncan won a blue in Animals-Wildlife and a red in Elements of Design; Trista Lawson earned a red in the Catch All category and a red in Nature and Landscape; Joe Moore won a blue in Details and Macros, a blue in Food, a red in Digital Darkroom anda red in Marine and Aquatics; Kalico Burkes earned a blue in Dominant Color, a blue in People and a red in Night Photography; Kylee Erickson won a blue in Plants and Flora; and Ethan Franke earned a blue in Story Board.
