‘Lets Sing Along with Children’s Songs’ theme of Pioneer Reunion parade

Organizations planning to participate in the 2013 Pioneer Reunion float parade can register entries now by calling Sherri Halsell at (940) 538-5042. This year’s theme is “Let’s Sing Along with Children’s Songs.”

Deadline to enter a float is noon Sept. 13. The 82nd Clay County Pioneer Reunion and Rodeo is Sept. 19-21.

Possible float titles include “Alouette,” “Alphabet Song,” “Baa Baa Black Sheep,” “Bingo,” Brahm’s “Lullaby,” “Farmer in the Dell,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “Here Comes Santa Claus,” “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands,  “Hey Diddle Diddle,” “Home on the Range,” “I’m a Little Teapot,” “If You’re Happy and You Know It,” “It’s a Small World,” “Itsy Bitsy Spider,” “Jesus Loves Me,” “Jesus Loves the Little Children,” “Little Bo Peep,” “London Bridge,” “Patty Cake Patty Cake,” “Peter Cottontail,” “Pocahontas,” “Pop Goes the Weasel,” “Ring Around the Rosie,” “Rock-a-Bye Baby,” “Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer,” “She’ll be Coming Around the Mountain,” “Three Blind Mice,” “Turkey in the Straw,” “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,” “You Are My Sunshine,” “Zippity Do Dah.”
