Saturday’s turkey cook-off to raise memorial scholarship funds

Instead of a chili cook-off as in years past, the seventh annual Clay County Turkey Fest will honor its namesake with a turkey cook-off.  The winning team will receive $1,000.

Turkeys will be provided to teams and must be cooked on site and turned in by 2 p.m., providing three servings of white and dark meet. Teams will be judged on taste, presentation of entry and campsite appearance.

A registration tent will be located at the intersection of Omega and Main streets in Henrietta. Check-in time is 9 a.m. Entry fees are $100 per team.
