Outdoors television personalities in search of world championship


Personalities from some of cable television’s outdoors programming will take to the field beginning Thursday morning in search of the tom that will win the title of Turkey Fest World Champion.

TF Logo for postsThe celebrity will hunt Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning, April 18-20. The winner will be announced during the Full Strut Banquet on Saturday night. Tickets to the banquet have sold out.

Turkeys harvested will be judged on weight, beard length and spur length.

Celebrity teams participating in this year’s event are Todd Cast and Marty Fischer of TNT Outdoor Explosion, Mike Stroff and Jamie Satterfield of Savage Outdoors TV, Jeff Ensor of Nonstop Hunting, Terry Denmon of Mojo Outdoors, Ken Cobb of Huntin’ the World, Hal Shaffer and Adam Barnes of Drop Zone TV, and Derome West of American Valor. Hunting West as a guest of American Valor will be David Inbody, a member of the Texas National Guard who was injured by an IED while on combat patrol in Afghanistan.

Hosting hunters this year are 2R Ranch, Baldwin Agriland at the Sanzenbacher Ranch, Birdwell and Clark Ranch, Boddy Ranch, Brown-Catlin Ranch, Bubba Rosa Ranch, Dugger Ranch, Durham Ranch, F Bar West Ranch, Halsell Ranch, Mathews Farm, River Bluff Lodge on the Parker Ranch, Pullen Angus Ranch, Rhone Ranch and Scaling Ranch.
