
Funds raised in the plant sale benefit the Henrietta FFA.
Henrietta FFA will host its annual spring plant sale Friday, April 5 from 3:30-8 p.m. and Saturday, April 6 from 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Henrietta High School green house.
The facility is located on the east side of the Perry D. Woods Agriscience Center.
A number of fruits and vegetables are available this year. The following varieties are available:
- Tomatoes — Celebrity, Mountain Pride, Better Boy, Porter, Improved Porter, Large Cherry and Sweet 101.
- Peppers — Sweet Banana, Pablano and California Wonder.
- Watermelons — Black Diamond, Jubilee, Big Stripe and Gold Rush.
Large Hale’s Best cantaloupe and yellow squash plants also are for sale.
The FFA will offer Wander Jew, Swedish ivy, spider plant, ice plant and Mouse Eared Jew in hanging baskets; and begonias, geraniums, periwinkles, dianthus, Gerbera daisies, celosia, moss rose and petunias as bedding plants.
