Henrietta ranches to host field trials in October retriever show

More than 1,500 Golden Retrievers from all over the United State and Canada, and their owners, handlers, breeders and fans, will descend on the cities of Wichita Falls and Henrietta for 10 days between Oct. 20 and Oct. 30. 

2013-Full-Logo-TransparentThis event is the Golden Retriever Club of America’s National Specialty Show and Trial, celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Golden Retriever Club of America.  Golden Retrievers and their owners will compete during these days in various venues, including conformation, obedience, rally, tracking, agility and bird retrieving. 

Conformation, obedience, rally and agility will be held at the Multipurpose Event Center in Wichita Falls from Monday, Oct. 21 through Saturday, Oct. 26.  Tracking will be held on Sunday, Oct. 20 on Charles Bearden’s Black Dog Ranch in Henrietta. Theretrieving events will be hosted by Boddy Ranch in Henrietta from Sunday, Oct. 27 through Wednesday, Oct. 30.  Spectators are welcome at all eventsand admission is free.

Many vendors of dog supplies and goodies will be available at the sites to offer everything from dog food, grooming supplies, dog art, training accessories, clothing and dog beds and treats, offering dog lovers an opportunity to shop for their canine companion, no matter what breed they may own.
