Traffic was slowed on East Omega Street in Henrietta Tuesday afternoon as emergency personnel worked a two-vehicle accident.

Two people sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Spur 510 and East Omega Street in Henrietta.

Martha Woody of Dean was traveling east on East Omega Street in a Dodge half-ton pickup pulling a 16-foot trailer when Frieda Beatty of Henrietta, driving a Pontiac Grand Am, pulled out of the Quick Stop convenience store parking lot and attempted to cross East Omega. Woody’s vehicle struck Beatty’s car in the front driver’s-side fender.

Beatty were transported to Clay County Memorial Hospital by ambulance with bruises and mild burns from the car’s air bag. Woody was examined by EMTs on scene. A passenger in Woody’s vehicle was not injured.

The wreck was reported at about 12:30 p.m.
