The Henrietta and Clay County Chamber of Commerce and Henrietta High School PALS teamed up on Saturday to host the largest citywide Easter egg hunt in several years.
Registering for the hunt were 165 kids, participating in four age groups. Last year, 132 children participated. This is the third year for the event to be held on the courthouse lawn.
Alyssa Hodges took first place in the 10-and-up division, finding 52 eggs. There was a three-way tie in the ages 6-9 division, with Parker Allen, Derrick Lee and Heather Davis collecting 44 eggs each. Luke Bullinger won the ages 3-5 division with 60 eggs, and Ella Bullinger won the two-and-under division with 39 eggs.
Local businesses and chamber of commerce members donated plastic eggs, filled with candy and prizes.
