Cindy Armour of Petrolia


Cindy Armour, 55, of Petrolia, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Services will be held at 2:00 Monday March 25, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Henrietta, with Rev. Chris Dowd Officiating. Burial Will be in Petrolia Cemetery in Petrolia, TX.

Cindy LeAnn Bussey Armour died in Hospice after a short illness. Cindy was born October 24, 1957 to Travis W. and Vonda Nunn Bussey in Olney, Texas. She was raised at the family home in Scotland and Archer City, where she attended school and was active in many sports. She married Vernon Widd Armour on September 27, 1985. They made their home in Petrolia, Tx. Cindy was employed for many years by the Petrolia School District and served as mayor of Petrolia for several years. Cindy was a devoted mother and grandmother who devoted her time supporting her grandchildren in all their many activities. She is survived by her husband Widd Armour, mother Vonda Bussey, her two daughters Melody Bowers and husband David, Whitney Armour Herndon and husband Blake. Sister, Nancy Bussey, brother Ray Bussey and wife Jan. Her five grandchildren, Abbi, Macon, Cade, Gage, and Zoie. Several very special nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Dept.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-6 PM at the Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta, TX.
