Tommie Rae Smith, 84, of Godley, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 20 at the First Baptist Church of Joy with Rev. Irby Graves and Rev. Darrell Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Joy Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Tommie Rae was born April 22, 1928 in Buffalo Springs to the late John A. Brooks, Sr., and Edith Covington Brooks. She was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil in 1995; and a daughter, Pamela Eanes, in 1999.

Survivors include a son, William L. “Bill” Smith of Godley; two brothers, John Brooks and wife Donita of Hockley, and W.L. Brooks and wife Mary of Carlsbad, N.M.; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
