We have two new residents that we would like to welcome to our facility. Sandra Weems and Linda Pace, we are so happy to have you join our family. We cannot wait to get to know you more and share many great times together. We hope you enjoy your stay here. Friends, family, and community members please stop by and say hello to these ladies and welcome them to Henrietta Care Center.

We are happy to have two people return to their homes this week after short-term therapy stays. John Campbell and Arnelda Rogers, thank you very much for letting us help you get well enough to return home. We are very proud of our exceptional therapy program, and we wish you both the best. Feel free to stop by and visit us anytime.

Our sympathy goes out to the family of Vera King. She will be greatly missed, and we will think of her often. She was truly a blessing to each of us. We pray that the Lord will comfort the family and friends of Vera during their time of loss.

Congratulations to Amber Glenn who was named our March Employee of the Month and to Donna Griffin who was chosen as our Care Provider of the Month. Amber is a cook and Donna is a restorative aide, and we are very fortunate to have them as part of our team. Congratulations ladies.

Our March birthday party honoring Mary Blagg, Harrell Edwards, Maggie Bowman, and Robert Bell will take place on Friday the 22nd at 3 p.m. Henrietta Floral provides corsages and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary Troop 5401 hosts the part each month. Please stop by to wish a lovely resident a happy birthday and to have some refreshments with us.

Our annual Easter egg hunt is set for Good Friday, the 29th, at 3 p.m. Please donate Easter candy for the hunt. We thank our community for all you do to make Henrietta Care Center such a great place to live. God bless you all, and have a great Easter.

Next month is National Humor Month. We want this month to be very special for residents, and we need your help to make it as successful as it can be. Please volunteer your time and talent to make this a special and fun month. We need entertainment, and we would love to have a clown or two visit our residents.  If you have any talent, please consider sharing it with us. You can contact Vickie at (940) 538-4303 with any questions or to get your talent put on our schedule. Also, our biggest event is our annual humor banquet scheduled for April 12. Thank you in advance for your time and your dedication to our residents. We are part of a remarkable community.

May is National Nursing Home month. We want May to be just as special as April. Again, we will need entertainment and volunteers. We would like for someone to begin coming in one day a week for pet therapy. If you or anyone you know is interested, please contact Vickie. Another fun activity would be table games. If anyone is interested in coming out to do table games or even any type of crafts with our residents each week, please let us know. We would appreciate it greatly.

Have a wonderful week!
