A Wichita Falls woman who is expecting a child was transported by ambulance after a one-vehicle rollover Tuesday.

A Wichita Falls woman was transported to United Regional Hospital with minor injuries Tuesday afternoon following a one-vehicle rollover on Watkins Road near Dean.

Jolea Johnson, 19, who is pregnant, was taken by Clay County EMS for observation. She suffered cuts on her arms and struck her head during the accident. The accident occurred at about 12:15 p.m.

Johnson was traveling east on Watkins Road in a 2001 Chevrolet S10 pickup when the vehicle veered into the ditch on the south side of the road. Johnson pulled out of the ditch, but overcorrected, said DPS Trooper Ben Wolf. The vehicle veered back to the ditch, striking an embankment and flipped onto its roof. Wolf said speed is likely a factor in the accident, noting that the pickup flipped end-over-end.

Johnson was alert and talking at the time she was transported.

DPS, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Dean-Dale VFD responded to the accident.
