Vera King, 91, of Henrietta, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013 in Henrietta.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 14 at the Cowboy Church in Henrietta with Rev. Larry Miller, pastor, officiating, and Rev. Randy Osborn, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Henrietta, assisting. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery in Ryan, Okla., under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mrs. King was born Feb. 15, 1922 in Haskell County, Okla., to Hiram Fletcher and Nancy Ellen (Baker) Keeton. She married Leon King on Oct. 24, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was a member of the Cowboy Church in Henrietta, Texas and was retired from Ryan ISD and the Ryan Nursing Home where she worked in food services.

Mrs. King was preceded in death by husband Leon King; and one brother, Tarson Keeton.

Survivors include three sons, Tommy Keeton and wife Linda of Wagoner, Okla., Tim King and wife Mary of Henrietta, and Larry King and wife Anita of Henrietta; one daughter, Diana Shipley and husband Don of Henrietta; one sister, Jewel Maldonado of Wagoner, Okla.; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to the Cowboy Church of Henrietta, P.O. Box 181, Henrietta, Texas 76365; or Hospice of Wichita Falls, P.O. Box 4804, Wichita Falls, Texas 76308.

The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-6 p.m.
