Red Flag Warning issued for Clay County


The National Weather Service in Norman Okla., has issued a Red Flag Warning for parts of Northwest Texas, including Clay County, effective from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Today.

Temperatures are expected to be between 76 and 83 degrees with humidity of 10-15 percent. Winds will be from the south to southwest at 20-25 miles per hour with gusts of up to 35 mph.

Any fires that develop late this morning through early evening will likely spread rapidly due to low humidity, strong winds and dry fuels. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.
