Mildred Trout, 95, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, in Wichita Falls.
Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at the Vashti Methodist Church with Dan Conatser officiating. Burial will follow at Vashti Cemetery under the direction of White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.
Mrs. Trout was born Aug. 18, 1917 in Vashti to Alvin and Sally (Hughes) Farmer. She married Wes Trout on April 27, 1946. She worked as a deli manager for Safeway Grocery in Wichita Falls until it was destroyed by a tornado in 1979.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wes Trout; two daughters, Patsy Martin and Neta Gregory; three brothers, Clarence, Ed, and Teddy Farmer; and a sister, Dorothy Mae Farmer.
Survivors include two daughters, Reta Spikes and husband Troy of Bellevue, and Sue Wood and husband Wilbur of San Marcos; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at the funeral home.
