Tommy Jean Garrison of Fort Worth


Tommie Jean Garrison, 85, passed away on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 in Fort Worth.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta with Rev. Fred Morrow officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mrs. Garrison was born on July 27, 1927 in Hillsboro to Thomas A. and Ethel Mae (Morrow) Parrott. Her family moved to Waco where she attended and graduated from Waco High School in 1945. In 1948, she graduated from Hillcrest School of Nursing. She moved to Henrietta, where she met and married Clyde Garrison on June 25, 1950 and started their family. They moved to Waco in 1960, where her husband worked for Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home for 31 years.  Mrs. Garrison worked for Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center and later for Dr. C.C. Locke, Jr., as a registered nurse for 17 years. She moved to Fort Worth 2004 to be closer to her two sons.

She is preceded in death by husband Clyde in 1992.

Survivors include two sons, Jim Garrison and wife Nancy of Fort Worth, and Mike Garrison and wife Judy of Valley Ranch; one sister, Doris Parker of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter.

The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 6-7 p.m.
