Two Vernon men escaped injury in an early morning rollover on Hwy. 287, approximately one-half mile south of Jolly on Tuesday.

The wreck happened at about 5:45 a.m.

Christopher Wayne Shelton, 25, and John Robert Holmes, 46, were traveling to Decatur in a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer in the right lane when the vehicle hydroplaned on the wet pavement. The vehicle spun into the center median, where it rolled over twice before coming to rest on the passenger side.

Shelton was driving the vehicle. The men were going to work. Both were wearing seat belts.
