Instead, the 97th District Court will move forward with a jury trial for Franklin M. Johnson, charged with DWI with a child under 15, a state jail felony.
Dickerson’s trial has been rescheduled for August, said Angela Short, witness coordinator for the 97th District Attorney’s Office. The trial of Terry L. Fincher, who faces a charge of indecency with a child, a second-degree felony, is set for April.
Dickerson, 27, is accused of killing her father, John Derek Hamlin, 46, on Nov. 13, 2011 at a home north of Dean.
Hamlin died of a single gunshot wound to the chest.
