Parker West, a senior lineman at Henrietta HIgh School, signed a letter of intent Wednesday night to play football at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Parker will be the third generation of Wests to play for the Savage Storm. He is the son of Henrietta Athletic Director Byron West and Carrie West.

Parker’s father played for SOSU from 1989-93, and grandfather Norman West played for the school, located in Durant, Okla., from 1959-63. There has been a West involved with SOSU since 1946, said Norman West.

In his senior season with the Bearcats, Parker finished with 50 tackles, including eight for losses. West was named District 5-2A Div. II first team offensive and defensive line.
