Happy February from everyone at Henrietta Care Center! We hope you all have a wonderful month. 2013 is already flying by!

Donna Steele is going to start her first group activity on Feb. 21. She will be having a women’s group providing skin care and facials. Thank you for wanting to share your talent with us. We are looking forward to this new activity.

Mr. Shepherd brought us a whole box of delicious Gala apples! He is so caring, thoughtful and kindhearted. We truly appreciate his compassionate personality and constant generosity.

Lillian Wines will celebrate her birthday on Feb. 9. Happy birthday to you!

Our monthly potluck meal is Friday, Feb. 8 at noon. The community is invited to drop by and enjoy a free meal. This meal is provided to show our appreciation for what the community does for us. We would not be complete without your dedication and commitment to us. This month’s menu will include spaghetti, salad and Valentine cake.

As always, we appreciate our weekly volunteers. Andy Durham, Doris Durham and Melvina Fernandez call Bingo on Tuesdays. Sue Oxford and Donna Gee call Bingo on Fridays. Sue and Donna are from the Henrietta Cowboy Church WINGS program. This is an awesome group of ladies that always brightens our days. Wednesday volunteers are Jane McRoy and Sarah Sears. They visit with our residents and polish their fingernails. On Fridays, Jane and Sarah lead Bible devotion and have gift drawings.  Alice McEntee brings donuts from Henrietta Donut Shop to the residents. Everyone really enjoys this special treat. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated.

Henrietta First Baptist Youth Group is an awesome group of High School ladies and gentlemen that come out and visit with the residents on Thursdays at 4 p.m. The residents really enjoy this group and are awestruck by the youth of today. We are very grateful that Jimmy Moses is leading this group of youth in the right direction.

Have a spectacular week!
