
Bellevue’s Bailey Schroeder is fouled by Lady Falcon Marley Tate in the fourth quarter Friday night.
With 20-point performances in the second and fourth quarters, Bellevue’s district champion Lady Eagles claimed a 55-30 win over Midway Friday night.
The Lady Eagles relied on balanced scoring to take the game as Bailey Schroeder, Bailey Terry and Emily Barnett tallied 10 points each. Kimberley Morrow followed with nine points, while Amber Bush scored seven and Destiny Watkins added six. Cassidy York scored a three-pointer in the fourth quarter to round out Bellevue’s effort.
Midway’s Cassidy Mass led all scorers with 17 points. Lady Falcon Breanna Merkel followed with nine, while Mikayla Graham and Harlee Rickman scored two points each.
Bellevue hit 11 of 17 free throw attempts, while Midway finished with eight of 13.
Bellevue held a narrow 7-6 lead at the close of the first period, but outscored the Lady Falcons 20-5 in the second. Midway accomplished it best play in the third, topping Bellevue 15-8, but the Eagles fired back in the fourth, 20-4.
With the win, Bellevue remains undefeated in District 21-A Div. II at 11-0. The Lady Eagles are 24-5 for the season.
