With 18 points from junior Anni Scholl, Henrietta claimed a District 8-2A win over City View Tuesday night, 46-27.
Scholl put on an impressive performance, leading the Lady Cats in stats across the board. Scholl finished with eight rebounds, three assists, four steals and three blocks.
Katie Jo Blacnscet scored seven for Henrietta, five of which came at the free throw line. Annelise Sauer scored five, including a second half three-pointer. Taylor Burch scored four points, while Cheyenne Barry and Cassie Pickett added a three-pointer each. Andi Stewart, Addison Wade and Kamryn Weaver scored two points each. Barry and J.J. Ramos had three rebounds each.
As a team, Henrietta hit seven of 16 free throw attempts.
The Lady Cats earned a 12-5 lead in the first quarter, and held City View to single digits in each of the following periods. Although Henrietta gave a strong defensive effort throughout, City View outscored the Lady ‘Cats 6-5 in the second period. Henrietta came back to top City View 16-8 in the third and 13-8 in the fourth.
