Henrietta ISD is now offering a text message alert and notification system available to parents, students and staff.
A statement on the district’s website noted that HISD “feels it is important to have a communication platform in place that will notify parents, students, and staff of closures, delays, emergency alerts and general notifications.”
The system was announced Tuesday.
The system will be used for notification only and does not accept replies. Those who use the system can sign up for alerts and notifications by campus, or for the entire school district.
Henrietta ISD also offers e-mail alerts by campus or for the district.
