Bellevue residents are no longer required to boil their water for drink.ing and cooking. The boil order was lifted shortly after 10 a.m. Friday after test results showed Bellevue’s water to be safe.

The boil order was implemented Thursday morning as City of Bellevue employees worked to repair a water main break. City Manager James Allen said the order is a precaution required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Bellevue School was closed on Thursday due to the break.
