Residents to celebrate birthdays

By Ashley Crownover

Henrietta Care Center’s monthly birthday party hosted by VFW Ladies Auxiliary Troop 5401 and Henrietta Floral is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 25 at 3 p.m. This party is an exciting event to look forward to each month. This month we will be honoring the birthdays of Yolanda Tarin, Ruthie Jones, Lowell Lynn, Sam Bachman and Leatrice Bouldin. Stop by and join us for birthday cake!

We would like to welcome back Evelyn Cole and Margie Hinton. We missed you while you were away from home, and we are all very glad to have you back here with us.

Thank you to the Cowboy Church Wings group for donating items for our country store. The residents always enjoy having a variety of items to choose from, and it is extremely helpful to have addition items to add to our store. We appreciate you greatly.

Our country store is always a big hit around HCC. If you have not yet heard about the country store, it is an activity where the residents have the chance to participate in every other week. During bingo games, bingo money is awarded to the winners of each game. This money can then be spent in the country store to buy items such as snack foods, deodorant, scarves, etc.

As always, we are grateful for each of our wonderful volunteers. Volunteering is such a kind and selfless act, and we are very blessed to have your involvement in our lives. We can never thank you enough.

Remember to take a little time to come by and visit the facility. Each week we have bingo, sing along sessions, coffee socials, devotion, and many other events that we would love for you to take a part in. Be sure to check out our Facebook page to see upcoming events as well as a monthly calendar.

Thank you to everyone in Clay County for your continued support and devotion to Henrietta Care Center. We are truly blessed.

Have a wonderful week!
