Midway’s varsity Falcons earned a 74-42 homecoming win over Prairie Valley Friday night, breaking the 20-point mark against the visiting squad in two quarters.

The Falcons opened with a 19-12 lead, and outscored Prairie Valley 22-12 in the second and 21-2 in the third quarters. Prairie Valey scored 16 in the fourth, while holiding Midway to two points.

Tristan Franke le the Falcon squad with 16 points, followed by Brody Wilson with 13, Brent Jones with 12 and Mark Nall with 10 points. Ryan Terry and Logan Harper added four points each. Adam Schobert and Rowdy Terry scored two points each.

The Falcons are 15-8 for the season and 4-2 in District 21-A, Div. II play.

Lady Falcons

The Midway Lady Falcons fell to Prairie Valley Friday night in one of the lowest scoring games of the season, 16-15.

Prairie Valley, who took a more offensive approach the first time they met with Midway this season, focused on holding the ball throughout the game. The Lady Bulldogs have a season record of 23-3.

Midway led Prairie Valley 7-6 at the conclusion of the first quarter, but was allowed only a free throw in the second period, 4-1. Midway again outscored the Lady Bulldogs in the third, 5-2. Prairie Valley held off the Lady Falcons in the fourth, 4-2.
