Happy New Year! 2012 is behind us, and we welcome 2013 with open arms.

We had a fantastic year at Henrietta Care Center. This past year was very enjoyable and memorable due to being part of such a supportive, generous, and extraordinary community. We are very grateful for everything that each of you does for us. To everyone who chose to volunteer at HCC by entertaining, singing, holding church services, having devotional time with the residents, conducting Sunday school classes, doing nails, playing Mr. and Mrs. Claus, donating corsages, donating money, buying from our bake sale, etc., we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have truly blessed us and touched so many lives.

We are very fortunate to have a great amount of church involvement in our facility as well as a community full of people who devote time to our residents. This Christmas was wonderful for all of our residents.

Our employees worked all year to save money for our resident Christmas fund. With this money, we were able to provide each resident a Christmas sack full of personal items such as shampoo, lotion, deodorant, toothpaste, a toothbrush, body spray, socks, body wash, powder, and combs. What an awesome group of employees! We are so proud of the appreciation and love that our staff has for our residents. Being a part of the Henrietta Care Center family is a great joy!

To the newcomers that plan on volunteering in 2013, we thank you for your interest in impacting a life and helping out at HCC. We look forward to seeing new faces and having new activities as well as continuing on with the activities that we had in 2012. Becoming a volunteer is always a wonderful New Year’s resolution! If you do decide to start volunteering your time, please keep Henrietta Care Center in mind. We truly love and cherish each of the people who come into the center to engage in activities with our residents.

Henrietta Care Center is a facility that prides itself on having good old-fashioned values. We strive to provide the highest possible quality of life for our residents, and in doing so our staff not only makes sure the basic needs of our residents are met but also treats each and every resident like family. One of our mottos is to treat the residents the exact way we would want to be treated-or even better. We appreciate the support our staff and our residents receive from the residents’ families. Family plays a very important role in the well-being of our residents. It is crucial that our residents receive support from their loved ones, and we are fortunate that we have such great, supportive, and caring resident family members.

Thank you to Ricky and Cathy Tarpley from Ringgold Church for donating crocheted afghans to our residents. Blankets were donated by Cami, Korri and Bodee Franke. Thank you very much for thinking of us. The residents will definitely put the blankets and afghans to good use this winter. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.

On behalf of all residents and staff at HCC, we would like to wish you a safe, healthy, and happy 2013. May God bless you and keep you in his care.
