James ‘Jim’ Fulton of Elgin, Okla.


James Gordon “Jim” Fulton, 67, of Elgin, Okla., passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 near Chickasha, Okla.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3 at First Assembly of God Church of Fletcher, Okla. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery under direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Chickasha.

Mr. Fulton was born Nov. 29, 1945 in Decatur to Jack and Clara Bell (Bonham) Fulton. He grew up in Terral, Okla., and graduated from Terral High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was discharged in 1967. He had lived many places and was self-employed. He married Gail Stauffer Rich in 2000. They lived near Houston, until two years ago when they moved to Elgin.

Jim was preceded in death by an infant sister, Pamela Sue Fulton.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Fulton, of Elgin, Okla.; three sons, Bryan Fulton of Yukon, Okla., David Fulton of Yukon, Okla., and Jay Fulton of Edmond, Okla.; a daughter, Karen Robins of Beaumont; three brothers, Archie Fulton, Charles Fulton and Donnie Fulton; three sisters, Brenda Bryant, Anita King of Henrietta, and Debbie Elledge; his mother-in-law, Betty Sartain; three stepsons, David Rich, Stephen Rich and Adam Rich; and several grandchildren.
