National Weather Service: Second round of winter precipitation possible

Clay County could face another holiday with winter precipitation, according to the National Weather Service in Norman, Okla.

According to the NWS, a storm system will approach the region early next week, around New
Year’s Eve, resulting in increased precipitation chances in North Texas and southern Oklahoma. Most of the precipitation will
fall as rain, but snow, sleet and freezing rain
will be possible late New Year’s Eve through early New Year’s Day. Very little snow, sleet or ice accumulation is expected.
