Two injured in Lake Arrowhead motorcycle wreck Saturday


Two people were transported to a Wichita Falls hospital after a motorcycle accident on FM 2606 at Lake Arrowhead Saturday afternoon.

A Wichita Falls man and wife were injured in a single-vehicle accident on FM 2606 Saturday afternoon when the motorcycle they were riding left the roadway.

Ronald Simpson, 52, of Wichita Falls was traveling south on FM 2606 at Lake Arrowhead. Donna Simpson, 55, was a passenger on the motorcycle, a 2006 Harley Davidson.

The accident occurred at the intersection of FM 2606 and Pawnee Trail on the east side of Lake Arrowhead. As Simpson rounded a curve, he lost control of the motorcycle causing the bike to hit the soft shoulder and slide. The wreck was reported at 3:44 p.m.

Donna Simpson suffered minor injuries, while Ronald Simpson suffered more severe, but non-life threatening injuries.

Both were transported by ambulance to United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls.
