Lady Cat comeback falls short in 44-40 final


Henrietta’s Lady Cats fought back from a 10-point deficit in the first quarter, but fell short Friday night against Lindsay. The Lady Knights earned a 44-40 win.

Lindsay took a 14-4 lead in the opening period, and again outscored Henrietta in the second, 13-11. The Lady Cats topped the Lady Knights 12-7 in the third and 12-11 in the fourth quarters.

Anni Scholl led Henrietta’s offensive effort with 13 points, and in rebounds with seven. Annelise Sauer scored nine points and dished four assists. Cassie Pickett scored seven points.

Henrietta’s JV girls earned a 52-30 win over Lindsay. Brooke Hoff led the team with 15 points, followed by Jessica Mabry with 14.
