With a well-balanced offensive effort, Henrietta’s varsity Bearcats earned a 62-40 win over Petrolia Tuesday night.
Four Bearcats broke the 10-point mark. Nick Powell led the squad with 14, followed by Dalton Davidson with 11, and Ben Fletcher and Matthew Reed with 10 points each. Reed’s tally includes a pair of first-half threes. Chad Burns added eight, while Myles Marchman scored four. Kaleb Gwinn and Philip Davis scored two points each and Tyler Coleman pitched in a free throw. Henrietta scored nine of 14 from the line.
Henrietta took a 20-9 lead in the first quarter, and continued to dominate the Pirates with a 17-5 second. Henrietta topped Petrolia again in the third, 13-10. The Pirates had their biggest period in the fourth, 16-12.
Chase Hall led Petrolia with 13 points, followed by Ryan Harrison with 10, Jadon Lane with seven, Adam Sandoval with six, Simeon Trevino with four and Tyler Tucker with two points. The Pirates were three for eight from the free throw line.
