Fire Weather Watch in effect through Saturday afternoon


The National Weather Service in Norman, Okla., has issued a fire weather watch for Clay and surrounding counties, in effect through Saturday afternoon.

Winds of 25-30 miles-per-hour, with gusts of more than 40 mph are expected. Humidity levels will range from 15-20 percent and high temperatures will range from 68-70 degrees.

Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
