Lady Cats find limited shooting opportunities against Burk

Henrietta found limited shooting opportunities against Burkburnett’s Lady Bulldogs Friday night, falling to the 3A opponent, 62-36.

Burkburnett took an 18-9 lead in the first quarter, and again outscored Henrietta in the second, 14-5. The Lady Bulldogs posted 21 points to Henrietta’s nine in the third. The Lady Cats outscored Burkburnett 14-9 in the fourth.

Anni Scholl led the Lady Cats on the board and under the goal, finishing with eight points and five rebounds. Cassie Pickett, Annelise Sauler and J.J. Ramos scored five points each. Sauer also had three steals.

Henrietta’s JV girls fell behind early on, but fought back for a 33-28 win over Burkburnett. Mikayla Taylor led the Lady Cats with 14 points, followed by Brooke Hoff with 10.

Tuesday, Henrietta’s high school basketall teams travel to Electra Tuesday, Dec. 11. Games begin with the JV girls at 4:30 p.m.
