Clay County Appraisal District donates toys to mission

Clay County Appraisal District employees Jessica Halter, LeeAnn Corley and A.G. Reis pictured Wednesday with toys to be donated to the Clay County Outreach Mission.

The Clay County Appraisal District will donate 23 toys to the Clay County Mission Outreach for distribution as Christmas presents this year.

The toys were collected by the Red River Chapter of the Texas Association of Assessing Officers Dec. 2-3, during the organization’s annual Christmas party and one-day seminar, said A.G. Reis appraiser for Clay County.

Those attending the event were asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy, and each appraisal district was entered into a drawing. The ClayCounty Appraisal District won the drawing, earning the opportunity to donate the toys to a non-profit organization.

Reis said 15 counties were represented at this year’s meeting.
