Woman killed in eary morning rollover near Bluegrove


A Wichita Falls woman died early Wednesday morning in a one-vehicle rollover on FM 172 west of Bluegrove.

The accident happened approximately 10 miles east of Scotland, between Chapman Road and Cindy Lee Drive. It was reported at 1:58 a.m.

Megan Elizabeth Panter, 21, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet SUV west on the farm-to-market road. According to DPS spokesperson Tony Fulton, Panter’s vehicle veered off the right side of the road and struck a fence. The driver overcorrected to the left, causing the vehicle to roll over one-and-a-half times.

Panter was ejected from the SUV. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
