L.D. Hogan of Henrietta


L.D. Hogan, 90, of Henrietta, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 in Henrietta.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Hope Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Kerr, pastor of the Saint Jo Missionary Baptist Church, officiating, and Rev. Robert Slayton, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bellevue, assisting. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Hogan was born on Dec. 20, 1922 in Vernon to Ancel L. and Anna Belle (Langford) Hogan. He served in the U.S. Army, and married Ruth Holloway on July 19, 1941 in Hollis, Okla. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of the North Side Missionary Baptist Church of Nocona.

Mr. Hogan is preceded in death by his wife Ruth L. Hogan; two brothers, A.L. Hogan, Jr., and Melton Hogan; one sister, Dorthy Sanders; one daughter, Kitty Ruth Hogan; and one son, Johnny Ray Hogan.

Survivors include two sons, Don Hogan and wife Linda of Henrietta, and Kenneth D. Hogan of Henrietta; two daughters, Charlotte Foran and husband Richard of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mary Rhoades of Bowie; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
