Boy struck while crossing Omega Street Saturday night


A child was struck by a vehicle in Henrietta Saturday night on Omega Street near the First Baptist Church.

The accident occurred sometime around 7:30 p.m. The boy was crossing the busy street after leaving the Clay County Christmas parade. He was reported to have suffered a broken leg that will require surgery.

According to a witness, the boy was with his grandmother and two siblings, when he ran across the street. He was struck by an Oklahoma man.

He was transported to Clay County Memorial Hospital.
