Varsity Lady Cats fall short of fourth quarter comeback


With an exciting fourth-quarter comeback attempt, Henrietta’s varsity Lady Cats fell short of a win over Graford Monday night, 41-40.

A 16-point first quarter by Graford made the difference in the game. The Lady ‘Rabbits limited Henrietta to five points. The Lady Cats outscored Graford in three quarters, 11-9 in the second, 9-4 in the third and 15-12 in the fourth.

Anni Scholl led the Lady Cats with 13 points and nine rebounds, followed by Andi Stewart with seven points and five rebounds. Annelise Sauer score six points and took away four steals. Cheyenne Barry and Addison Wade scored five points each. Barry also had five rebounds.

With the loss, Henrietta falls to 2-2 for the season.

The JV Lady Cats earned a 51-10 win, and are 3-4 for the season.
