Winners announced in Clay County Outdoors photo contest

Readers of The Clay County Pioneer Sentinel have decided the winners of the 2013 Clay County Outdoors photo contest.

“Rusty Grazin’,” submitted by Megan Morrow, 13, of Perkins, Okla., won the youth division with 65 votes. The photograph was taken at the Morrow home near Bellevue.

“Morning Rush Hour: Clay County,” by Jan Greer McDonnell of Henrietta won the adult division with 164 votes. The photo was taken on Greer Ranch near Bluegrove.

Some 724 readers of the Clay County Pioneer Sentinel cast 1,380 votes in the Clay County Outdoors photography contests combined. The contest is sponsored by the Henrietta and Clay County Chamber of Commerce and The Clay County Pioneer Sentinel.

Readers submitted photos representing Clay County through the month of October. Voting took place Nov. 1-14. Winners will be featured in the 2013 edition of Clay County Outdoors magazine, a Henrietta and Clay County Chamber of Commerce publication.

Shutter bugs entered 46 photos in the adult category, and eight entries in the youth category.
