Lady Eagles open basketball season with wins


Bailey Schroeder found her rhythm on the hardwood Friday night, leading Bellevue to a 46-42 win over Valley View in double overtime.

Schroeder scored 23 points in the game, followed by Bailey Terry with 11, Amber Bush with five, Cassidy York with three and Destiny Watkins with two points. Kimberly Morrow and Emily Barnett added one free throw each.

The win improved the Lady Eagles to 2-0 for the season.

Tuesday, Nov. 6, Terry led the Lady Eagles to a 55-54 win over Paradise, scoring 24 points.

Schroeder followed Terry with 16, while Morrow with five, Bush with four, York with three and Barnett with three points.

The Lady Eagles and Eagles host Red River on Tuesday, Nov. 13, and travel to Valley View Friday, Nov. 16.
